Pixel Reel has not been truly live for more than 3 weeks yet. The rank ladder has seventeen rungs, and the last one, Fathomless, sits at 43.5 million XP. We tuned it to be the far horizon: the rank you see on the career screen and wonder if anyone will ever actually touch.
Someone touched it.

Akos200001 - first to Fathomless, first to 100M
On August 30, Akos200001 became the first angler in Pixel Reel to reach Fathomless. Two days later they became the first to cross 100 million XP, and did not slow down there. As of today Akos sits at 160 million, more than double the next name on the board.
The rest of their career sheet reads like a checklist of things we did not expect anyone to do this soon:
- Furthest on the map of any angler, at the edge of the deep waters
- 550 of 600 species in the Fishdex, first on that board
- The heaviest fish ever landed, first on that board too
- 12,286 fish, 375 Megalodons and 126 Starry catches along the way
Akos, the ten new Alphas in 1.0.5 were built with you in mind. We hope they give you a proper fight.
Own and Nate Pelican - Fathomless too
Two more anglers crossed the line today, and they deserve their names in lights as well.
Own reached Fathomless at 67 million XP and holds the top spot on a few leaderboards.
Nate Pelican reached Fathomless at 59 million XP and holds the top spot for a few of their own as well.
Between the three of them they own first place on every board that matters. If you want any of those spots, you know who to chase.
For everyone else
Fathomless is not a finish line. It opens the third relic slot in the Tackle Box, and with 1.0.5 landing soon there will be new relics, a Pond to build, and ten Alphas that nobody has beaten yet. The board resets for no one, but it also closes for no one.
Congratulations, all three of you. Tight lines.
