The Angler Pass: Season 0, "Deep Current"
Thirty tiers. Thirty days. One tier a day, earned the way you already play - every catch, every quest, every alpha you land pushes the current a little further. There is no grind to it: the day's tier fills up while you fish, and the next one is waiting tomorrow.
Every angler gets the free track. Coins and gems at every tier, and two full costumes along the way - one at tier five, one at tier thirty - just for showing up.
The premium track is where the current runs deep. Across the thirty tiers: eight costumes, four rods, five bobbers, three lines, and nine pieces for your Pond, none of which will ever appear in the shop. We are not showing all of it yet. A few things caught in the light:
- Tidewarden. Sea-glass plate and a trident. The very first tier.
- Stormcaller. The storm goes where you go.
- A line that crackles. Cast it at night and you will understand.
- Storm Lanterns for your Pond, with their own weather. Grey clouds gather over them. Rain follows.
- The Leviathan. Something wearing a crown, at the very bottom of the track.
The other four costumes, the rods, the bobbers, the rest of the Pond set - all of it stays under the surface until the season opens.
Season 0 buyers become Founders. A blue gem beside your name in every lagoon and pond chat, forever. Nobody who joins in Season 1 can ever earn it.
Alphas in the shallows
Until now the first alpha waited at the Mangrove. Next week, five new alphas move into the waters before it - Rushing River, Misty Lake, Salt Coast, Coral Reef and Midnight Abyss - so every angler meets one within their first hours, not their first weeks.
Each has its own fight. In Rushing River, Riptooth runs the lanes: tap his lane as he crosses the line, red then salmon, faster and faster, until driftwood jams the river and he vaults it. Each alpha carries a pet of its own, too.
The friends list
Add anyone you meet - from the lagoon, from a pond, from a chat line. See where your friends are fishing right now, send them a message, and visit their Pond while they are away. Your Pond keeps the visits.
Lagoo Ness
She has been sighted. Every lagoon has its own timetable now, and a few times an hour she surfaces for two minutes, foam boiling around her. Everyone present can tap her, and every tap pays coins - but the first angler to forty taps wins the round and rolls for Lil Goo, her hatchling, who follows you home and never leaves your side. If nobody reaches forty, she retreats back to the depths.
